Panetoz comeback and Ukrainian war refugee
As usual, seven entries compete for two final and two semi-final places.
Among other things, the Tiktok phenomenon Theoz is back, along with Middle-Debuting country duo Tennessee tears.
The Jordbro-based group Panetoz makes a comeback with the contribution "On my way", which they describe as a colorful party song where they invite the audience, both at home and on location live, to dance and not pause.
- It's a fitness session, says Njol Ismail Badije, a member of the group, to Kulturnyheterna.
They have previously competed in 2014 and 2016 with "Efter solsken" and "Håll om mig hart" respectively, but are perhaps best known for "Dansa pausa" from 2012.
Multitasker Uje Brandelius also enters the competition with the sink-realistic "Grytan", which according to himself will land him a last place.
One artist who has been noticed in advance is the 17-year-old Ukrainian Maria Sur, who fled her home country with her mother when the war broke out.
She presents the contribution "Never give up".

Old foxes in battle
During the mellofest, two schlager veterans will appear in a song duel.
Magnus Carlsson and Linda Bengtzing have both competed in Melodifestivalen eight times, but without a win.
On Saturday night, they will both be part of the middle act as they gather their greatest hits to duel each other for space and determine who really is the best.
Linda Bengtzing also leads the program "Förfest!"
and “After party!”
which is displayed before and after the broadcast respectively.
