Last week, Dolly Parton had the honor of receiving the Bezos Courage and Civility Award.

An award created by the founder of Amazon in 2001 to celebrate "leaders who seek solutions with courage and civic sense", but which also comes with an endowment of 100 million dollars to be donated to associations chosen by the or the recipient.




"I'm going to do good things with this money," assured Dolly Parton after receiving her reward from the hands of Jeff Bezos and presenter Lauren Sanchez who is also her companion.

In his lifetime

Recently, Jeff Bezos expressed his wish to donate most of his fortune to charity, now estimated at $124 billion.

Donations that he intends to make during his lifetime, as he clarified in a recent interview with CNN, following in the footsteps of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and George Lucas who made the same promise in 2010.
