Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is once again leading the ranking of the world's wealthiest people.

According to Bloomberg's billionaire ranking, Bezos was ahead on Monday with around $200 billion, while Tesla boss Elon Musk was behind with $198 billion.

In the fall of 2021, Musk, who heads other companies besides Tesla, overtook Bezos.

At that time, Bezos handed over the management of his mail order company Amazon, which he founded in 1994.

According to Bloomberg, Bezos' latest wealth growth resulted primarily from the positive development of Amazon's share price.

According to the Wall Street Journal, if Bezos were to sell his shares, he would lose first place again because of the taxes that would be due.

Musk's fortune, on the other hand, had recently decreased by around $30 billion due to a fall in Tesla's share price.

He also lost 56 billion euros because a judge in the US state of Delaware declared a Tesla stock compensation plan that had been granted to him in 2018 null and void at the end of January.

The third richest person in the world is the head of the French luxury goods group LVMH, Bernard Arnault, with a fortune of $197 billion.

Arnault had also topped the rich ranking for a while, but was replaced by Musk in May 2023.
