Over the winter months, there have been many accidents in which the tires of large vehicles such as trucks have come off while driving. I am calling you to do so.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the number of accidents in which the tires of large vehicles such as trucks come off while driving is on the rise.

Of these, there were five fatal accidents, and in January this year in Shibukawa City, Gunma Prefecture, the tire of a large truck came off and hit directly, seriously injuring a man walking on the sidewalk.

Of the accidents last year, 79, or 64%, were concentrated in the winter from November to February, and 77, or 63%, occurred within one month after tire replacement. The falling off of the rear left wheel tire, which is easy to get caught, accounts for 96%.

This means that the nuts and bolts have deteriorated due to rust and dirt, or that they have fallen off due to insufficient oil.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, together with the manufacturer, is calling on users of large vehicles to ensure proper installation, such as replacing deteriorated parts and tightening them with special tools when replacing tires. If you need to replace it, it will be provided free of charge at the store.
