Before the full-scale pickling of Hiroshimana, a winter delicacy that represents Hiroshima, begins in earnest, the first pickling ceremony was held in Hiroshima City to pray for the production of delicious pickles.

About 20 people, including local farmers, gathered for the first pickling ceremony held at a processing facility in Sendai, Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City.



Approximately 3 tons of Hiroshimana was piled up at the facility, and representatives of the attendees yelled out, "Ei, Ei," and sprinkled salt on it, praying for safe work and for the production of delicious Hiroshimana pickles.



According to JA Hiroshima City, this year's Hiroshima greens have grown larger than usual due to the continued warm weather. It means that it will be pickled vegetables.
