Cultural relations between the Emirates and Egypt

From October 26 to 28, the United Arab Emirates celebrates the 50th anniversary of its relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt. This period represents the relationship between the two countries since the establishment of the UAE, as the official exchange of relations between the two countries took place and the exchange of ambassadors.While the relations go back to a longer period, and if the documents in our hands record the travel of Sheikh Muhammad bin Saeed bin Ghobash to study there in 1927, and those who preceded him and those who followed him, then this is an indication of the old relationship that is developing, in all official and popular fields, and education was the The leader for this, the coming of the Egyptian teachers starting with the missions that arrived in 1953 within the Kuwaiti mission or those who came within the Egyptian mission, the foundations of the development of these relations, as these teachers were channels of communication, they transmitted their culture and experiences, in addition to teaching their subjects in the curriculum, they have kindled the spirit Nationalism among students, and they took care of plastic arts, music, theater, sports and scouting, and organizing festivals, which drew the features of cultural work and laid its pillars, and led the people of the Emirates to engage in these aspects and be prominent in them.They were also closely linked with parents, so they participated in various community activities, especially those who came from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and who took over education and rhetoric on Fridays, holidays and religious occasions.

After the establishment of the UAE, we found teachers and others who came to the Emirates to work in different professions, participating in the programs of cultural bodies and associations of public interest, and participating in various activities, in conferences, seminars, press writing, and preparing and presenting radio and television programmes.

Their presence in the Emirates was an opportunity for them to spread their creativity in a space of freedom, thus enriching the Arab Library.

As for the sons of the Emirates, boys and girls who went to Egypt to study in various scientific disciplines, they returned loaded with their knowledge, experiences and knowledge that they acquired from the universities in which they studied, and from their contact with the community and with their fellow students from other countries who met them there.

They returned to work in the various state institutions, and with their arms, thought and effort, the achievement made by the state was achieved thanks to the empowerment that the state granted them under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his wise guidance, trusting him in their abilities.

Among them were the minister, the undersecretary, the ambassador, the economist and the businessman, the doctor, the engineer, the successful administrator, the university professor, the teacher who builds generations, and the media person who presents the image of the nation.

The sons of the Emirates who went to Egypt to study in various specializations came back loaded with their knowledge, experiences and knowledge that they had gained from universities.
