While the weather is getting colder in various places, Fukui Prefecture has started delivering kerosene to households.

Due to the persistently high price of crude oil, the price of kerosene for delivery has increased by 2 yen per liter compared to the same period last year, and users have also heard that they need to save money.

Fukui Prefectural Co-op, which delivers kerosene to approximately 6,400 households in Fukui Prefecture, has started delivering kerosene for the winter season from the 24th.

On the 25th, the person in charge went around the houses in Fukui City and refueled the plastic tanks and kerosene tanks installed in the houses.

According to the Fukui Prefectural Consumers' Cooperative Association, while crude oil prices remain high due to the effects of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the delivery price of kerosene as of the 25th is 117 yen per liter, even if government subsidies are applied. This is an increase of 2 yen compared to the same period last year.

A female user in her 70s said, "It's only a little bit, but the price is going up, so I'd like to save money by adjusting the clothes I wear."

Mr. Shigeru Sugioka, who is in charge of delivering kerosene, said, "I want to deliver properly so that the elderly will not be troubled while watching the market price change."
