In an interview with "Télé Star" on Monday October 24, Sheila talks about the death of her only son Ludovic Chanel, who died on July 7, 2017. The 77-year-old star explains in particular how she managed to overcome this tragedy and admits "speaking" to his missing son. 

It is certainly the greatest drama of his life.

On July 7, 2017, Sheila lost her only son, Ludovic Chanel, who died at the age of 42.

"His medical file revealed that Ludo died of a cocaine overdose caused by the massive absorption of cocaine and benzodiazepine" had revealed the singer in the columns of

"They carried me at the time of the tragedy"

"I participated in the financing of many cures to help him detoxify. But, on arrival, it was still the drugs that killed him", she also underlined.

Five years later, Sheila, who will soon be back on stage for her anniversary tour, explains in an interview for

how she survived this tragedy.

The musicians of her team helped her in this ordeal.

"They are great boys. They carried me at the time of the tragedy", testifies the singer who says "stay upright" for Ludovic. 

"You will never leave me"

And, the latter is never far from her.

"My son, he's in the house, he's there. I'm talking to him," she confides in the columns of

Télé-Star.

On April 7, 2021, Sheila had paid a vibrant tribute to her son on Instagram.

"You will never leave me," she wrote in the caption of a photo of her and Ludovic, much younger and appearing with a smile on her face.
