An educational official clarifies the truth about the “Mujadara” incident in Jordan

A security source revealed to a Jordanian agency that 8 female students in a public school were rescued, after they ate a group lunch inside a classroom.

The source stated that information was received by the Central Amman Police Directorate that there are cases of poisoning in the Zahran area of the capital, and they went to the site and found 8 cases, according to the “Ammon” news website.

However, Director of Amman Kasbah Education, Sami Al-Wahsh, said that only one student was injured inside a government school in the Zahran region, after eating a "medadra" prepared during a professional class, denying that the infection was poisoned.

He pointed out that it may be due to "the cold and its interaction with the oil," explaining that the student fell ill.
