Authorities found parts of a drone after a report of an explosion in the area (Al Jazeera)
The Armed Forces and Public Security in Jordan announced the opening of an investigation after parts of a drone were found in the Irbid Governorate in the north of the country following a report of hearing the sound of an explosion in the area, without causing any damage.
The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that the specialized teams for handling explosives in the Armed Forces and Public Security found parts of the drone in an area devoid of residents within the area from which the report of hearing an explosion was received yesterday evening, Monday.
He explained that an investigation had been opened to determine the source of the drone and the circumstances of the incident.
The spokesman called on all Jordanians “not to circulate videos that are not related to the incident, and some have begun trying to publish and circulate them on social media sites,” according to what was reported by the official news agency (Petra).
