Two days in the sky after the balloon rope was cut off

A man who accidentally flew a balloon nearly 200 miles survived after the rope he was holding to the ground snapped while he was picking pine nuts from tall trees.

The man was found safely after spending two days in the airship, according to Chinese state media.

The forty man, whose name is Hu Jintao, and his partner on the ground, lost control of the balloon when it untied it for an unknown reason and flew the man away.

After that, searches began immediately for the balloon and Tao, who remained inside, and the Chinese state broadcaster said that rescuers were able to contact Tao by phone the next morning and ordered him to slowly empty the balloon in order to enable his landing.

Later, the man managed to land the balloon in the safest way, touching the ground in an area near the border with Russia, according to the state-run CCTV station.

Tao, who works in the fire control sector in northeastern China, suffered from lower back pain from standing for two full days on the balloon platform.

The pine nuts that Hu was trying to harvest are found inside pinecones, and they are used in dishes that are usually served in northeastern China.
