At about 17:50 on September 7, the 119 Command Center of the Fire Rescue Detachment of Jingzhou City, Hubei received an alarm that a child near the Changqu Road Fire Rescue Station in Honghu, Jingzhou, had his tongue stuck and was on his way to the fire station for help.
After the fire rescue personnel received the alarm, they immediately prepared demolition tools in advance and waited for the arrival of the trapped people.
Fire rescue personnel observed at the scene that the little girl's tongue was stuck on the drinking port on the lid, and the tongue was red and swollen. The lid was made of very thick and hard plastic material, and ordinary scissors could not cut it at all.
Fire rescue personnel use manual scissors to cut off the outer ring a little bit, and then carefully cut off the inner ring.
During the rescue, in order to avoid the little girl's fear, the rescuers covered her eyes with their hands, comforted her from time to time, and stabilized her emotions.
After more than 40 minutes of treatment, the little girl's tongue escaped successfully, and the girl was sent to the local hospital for further examination.
The fire department reminds that it is not an exception for children to stick their tongues into the mouth of the bottle because they are playful. Parents must beware. In similar situations, they must be sent to the doctor or seek help from the fire department in time.
