A case of dengue fever was detected in Hauts-de-Seine on Tuesday.

It was a resident of Bourg-la-Reine who contracted the disease.

He would have caught the virus during a recent stay in a country at risk, but a study by the Regional Mosquito Control Agency confirmed the presence of tiger mosquitoes in an area straddling Sceaux and Bourg-la-Reine.

Mosquito control overnight from Friday to Saturday

The two cities indicated in a joint press release that they were currently going through "a phenomenon of proliferation of tiger mosquitoes".

They specify that the ARS will "carry out mosquito control by insecticide in the sector concerned on the night of Friday to Saturday, from midnight to 2 a.m., in public spaces and as far as possible, in private gardens. ".

The national and municipal police will oversee the operation.

The municipalities point out that dengue fever is an asymptomatic disease in the vast majority of cases and that it is now well taken care of in cases where symptoms appear.
