On September 5th, Meng Haitao's family's melon field in Zhengjiazhuang Village, Letuyi Town, Manas County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang, was harvested. This year, Meng Haitao's family used a new type of harvester, which is much more efficient than manual harvesting in the past, but the cost is decreasing.

The new harvester we used this year can harvest 40 to 50 acres of land per day. The old-fashioned labor used in the past can only harvest 10 to 20 acres of land a day. The efficiency is slow, and the labor wages will cost two more. At 3,000 yuan, the current machine is cleaner than the previous one, and less labor is used. In terms of output, we have now reached more than 200 kilograms.
[Explanation] At present, the villagers seize the favorable opportunity to start mechanized harvesting, the mechanized harvesting rate has reached 100%, the production efficiency and product quality have been greatly improved, and farmers have achieved cost savings and efficiency gains.
