The artificial intelligence of this device determines the maturity of tomatoes;
when they reach the desired level of ripeness, the robot begins harvesting.
According to the developers, the productivity of this harvester will be four times higher than that of a person: per day it will be able to collect 4.5 tons of tomatoes, while a person can only collect 1.2 tons.
It is planned that such industrial combines will appear in a year and a half.
Earlier, Putin said that Russia has become the fourth country in the world in exporting agricultural products, with revenues of $43.5 billion.
The President also emphasized the need to ensure growth in tomato production in Russia.
