  At the excavation site of the Nanzuo site, Professor Han Jianye said in an exclusive interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the Nanzuo site has been initially determined to have an overall area of ​​about 6 million square meters, and the core area is enclosed by 9 large rammed earth platforms symmetrically distributed in an inverted "U" shape With an area of ​​about 300,000 square meters, it is one of the largest settlement sites in China dating from about 5,200 to 4,600 years ago in the late Yangshao culture.

Among them, the central hall of the palace area has a construction area of ​​more than 800 square meters and an indoor area of ​​630 square meters. It is the largest and best-preserved palace building from 5,000 years ago that has been discovered by Chinese archaeology. It is also the largest single unit with the largest indoor area in the same period. architecture.
