The "Family Federation for World Peace and Unification" and the "National Association of Lawyers Against Spiritual Marketing Laws", which supports former members of the Unification Church, held a press conference, and the church asked local consumer affairs centers about the damage. He clarified that he requested not to respond to this, saying that he was making a request for information.

At a press conference, Yasuo Kawai, a lawyer from the National Association of Lawyers Against Spiritual Marketing, said, "There have been cases where church officials visited consumer affairs centers and asked them to contact us if they received complaints about damage. It was revealed that the former Unification Church has requested information on damage consultations from consumer affairs centers in various places.

The request was made by consumer affairs centers in Osaka Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture, Nagoya City, etc., and the Lawyer Liaison Committee requested that the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan not respond.

Attorney Kawai said, "This is thought to be a move to reduce the number of consultations as much as possible, or to negotiate directly and settle with only a portion of the payment. Regarding the damage, it started yesterday without directly negotiating with the church. I would like you to use the consultation desk provided by the government."

According to the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan, ``We cannot answer which businesses are being consulted individually, but we will not tell you the details of the consultation even if there is a request.''

On the other hand, the "Family Federation for World Peace and Unification" said, "Visits to the consumer affairs center are intended to fully cooperate with the government's policy, grasp the overall picture of the damage and take concrete measures. The claim that they are trying to reduce the damage by listening to the information is speculation and is not true."
