An American girl suffers from a strange disease.. She spends 23 hours a day in bed

The young American Lindsay Johnson suffers from a disease that is classified as one of the least understood diseases in the world, which forces her to spend about 23 hours in bed, due to her inability to stand for more than several minutes without experiencing dizziness followed by fainting, which some call the sensitivity of blood pressure to gravity Earth, "sensitivity to gravity".

Lindy was diagnosed with postural tachycardia (PoTS) in February 2022, after spending most of the past seven years vomiting, experiencing abdominal and back pain, and fainting regularly.

Although the woman took several medications, this did not stop her from experiencing an abnormal increase in heart rate every time she stood, something one doctor described as a "gravity allergy."

"I'm allergic to gravity - it sounds crazy but it's true, I can't stand for more than three minutes without feeling faint, sick or faint," says Lindsey, 28.

I feel much better if I'm lying down.

I'm in bed all day, up to 23 hours a day - I never thought that at 28 I'd have to use a shower chair.”

Lindsay's illness baffled doctors for years, and she went through various stages of diagnosis including one with extreme anxiety, but things took a really scary turn in October 2020, when she fainted in the elevator while on her way to a hospital appointment.

Before that, she had suffered from frequent fainting in public places, which forced her to stop driving until she was unable to stand or even bend without feeling dizzy.
