This Senegalese migrant has just crossed the Darien, this immense jungle, a natural border between Colombia and Panama, and therefore a junction point between South America and Central America.

Despite the difficulty of the journey and the risks associated with banditry, 130,000 migrants braved the Darien last year, and the flow continues to increase with the hope for these migrants to one day enter the United States.
