The influx of migrants from Mexico to the US state of Texas continued, as the camera of the Turkish Anadolu News Agency monitored a number of them crossing in the El Paso area of Texas in an easy manner, unlike the rest of the regions.

The attached footage shows the migrants crossing the shallow waters of the Rio Granda River, then easily crossing the barbed wire in the area where the Texas National Guard is not deployed, before they resort to US Border Patrol forces.

According to the scenes, the federal government's border forces did not cause any difficulties for the irregular migrants, and gathered them in a safe area in preparation for their transfer to shelter centers.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott accused President Joe Biden's administration of not taking adequate measures regarding border security, and ordered the construction of about 4 kilometers of barbed wire in the border area of Eagle Pass, which is the city preferred by migrants to cross into the United States.

In turn, the Biden administration confirmed that border security falls within the authority of the federal government, and submitted a request to the US Supreme Court to remove the barbed wire.

The Supreme Court ruled to remove the barbed wire on the Rio Grande River separating the United States from Mexico, and the dispute with the Biden government worsened after Texas Governor Abbott announced that he would not abide by the decision.

Despite the court order, the Texas National Guard did not allow the US Border Patrol to do its work on January 23, and continued to place barbed wire, and the governors of 25 Republican states announced their support for Texas in a joint statement.
