Finally, only two meters of digging separates the rescuers from holding Ryan's hand!

Moroccan media revealed an official source as saying that rescue workers are facing great difficulties and obstacles due to the difficult terrain and the danger of soil erosion.

The source stressed that the rescuers face the risk of fainting due to the poor oxygen inside the hole that was made at a depth of more than 30 meters.

Despite the difficulties, the works are progressing vigorously, but with great care to avoid any possible collapse of the earth.

And Moroccan media, quoting an official source, revealed that the rescue teams were separated by only two meters to reach the child Rayan.

The source, who occupies a high-ranking mission in the Prefecture of Chefchaouen, stressed that the rescue teams for the child Rayan were able to manually dig three meters until around four o'clock in the morning, leaving only two meters to reach the missing child.

The efforts of the Moroccan authorities are still continuing to rescue the 5-year-old Rayan, after he fell into a deep well in a village in the north of the country 4 days ago.

The Moroccan authorities had announced the start of horizontal drilling with the aim of reaching the child Rayan, after drilling operations were completed to a depth equal to the well and the location of the child’s concentration.

The rescue teams are digging a distance of 8 meters to reach the child Rayan, as the units used cement pipes to construct and strengthen the tunnel, at crucial moments awaiting millions of viewers in the Arab world.

The authorities had announced the end of drilling operations next to the well by means of huge engineering mechanisms, as civil protection men in Morocco had lowered a camera used in relief missions to ensure the health status of the child and communicate with him to keep him conscious.

It is worth noting that the Moroccan authorities have developed an alternative plan, in the event of failure to reach the child by drilling, by making a parallel hole at the same depth as the place where Rayan was suspended, and then making a hole in the well to remove him.

The story began on Tuesday evening, when the child Rayan fell into a deep well about 32 meters deep, in the village of Agran in the Chefchaouen province, in northern Morocco.

A Moroccan official said, on Friday, that the child Rayan had not eaten or drunk for 3 days, indicating that there was great hope for his survival.

In his statement to the media, the head of the Ryan Rescue Tracking Committee, Abdel Hadi Al-Tamrani, denied that the child had eaten any food, contrary to what was promoted on social media, adding that he was being supplied with oxygen around the clock without stopping.

Al-Tamrani expressed his hope for Rayan's survival, saying, "There is great hope that the child Rayan will survive," noting that the excavations reached the age of 30 meters.

The official explained that the suspension of drilling operations from time to time is due to the occurrence of rockfalls, noting that these collapses are sometimes deliberate by the drilling crew until the operation is secured.
