He lost his job two years ago and has a rent case

67,000 dirhams saves "Abu Ahmed" from prison

(Abu Ahmed - Suri) has been facing difficult circumstances since his services were terminated from work two years ago, and he tried to look for another job opportunity, but all his attempts were unsuccessful. He owed his rent arrears two years ago, with a value of 67,118 dirhams, and the owner of the house filed a lawsuit against him and was threatened with imprisonment, at any time in case of non-payment.

(Abu Ahmed) told «Emirates Today»: «He was working as an employee in a restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah, with a salary of 4000 dirhams, and things were going with difficulty, and two years ago the owner of the restaurant suffered financial losses, so that he was unable to pay the salaries of the workers, so he decided to end the services of All employees, and since that time he has become without any source of income, and he tried to search for a new job opportunity to no avail, and problems began to increase and debts piled up on his shoulders.”

He added, "His financial condition deteriorated greatly after he lost his only source of income, and began to face great financial distress, until he was unable to pay the rental installments for the house, and knocked on all doors in search of a way out of the financial crisis, but his attempts were unsuccessful."

And (Abu Ahmed) continued: “He asked the owner of the house to look at his financial condition with mercy, so he gave him a period of six months to pay, and throughout that period he was looking for a job in return for a small wage, but to no avail. Even a small part of the amount, after which the owner of the house carried out his threat and filed a rental case in court, and in the event that the arrears, which amounted to 67,118 dirhams, were not paid, he would be imprisoned, and his family would remain without a breadwinner or bond.

He explained that «his family consists of five members, and the family lost the only source of income two years ago, and became without a breadwinner, and relies on some assistance provided by family and friends, which hardly meets the requirements of life such as food and drink, and no sums can be arranged to pay off debts due to the poor financial situation. ».

He appealed to good people and people of merciful hearts to help him manage the 67,000 dirhams of rent arrears accumulating on him, so that he does not go to prison and the family loses its only breadwinner.
