For the first time since 1998, Lille will not see any player leave the club during the competition.

But other formations like Saint-Etienne or Metz will see their workforce decrease significantly.

Among the Greens, five players will be missing: Neyou, Moukoudi, Sow,

Khazri

, Bouanga.

As for the Messins, they will be squarely seven: Bronn, PA Sarr, Kouyaté, Maïga, Oukidja, Boulaya, Alakouch.

Problem, the two clubs are lagging behind in the standings.

Metz is in 18th place, while Saint-Etienne is 20th!

What to activate during the winter transfer market to remedy the absences of the African continental tournament.

Lyon without Karl Toko-Ekambi

Lyon will have to do without its Cameroonian striker

Karl Toko-Ekambi

, five goals in Ligue 1 this season, winner of the CAN in 2017, in addition to the Algerian Slimani, crowned in 2019, and the Zimbabwean Kadawere.

Fall champion, Paris Saint-Germain will have to do without Moroccan Hakimi and Senegalese Gueye.

Without counting his compatriot Abdou Diallo.

Angers, who is in 11th place in the standings will do without the Moroccan Sofiane Boufal, author of five goals and three assists this season.

Which is not to displease his coach, Vahid Halilhodzic,

"very happy with himself".

On the Clermont side,

the Guinean Mohamed Bayo

He is ranked third in the league scorers with nine goals.

Brest, Lorient and Bordeaux will have only one element each in Cameroon.
