Augustine Eguavoen, Gernot Rohr's replacement at the head of the Nigeria team, has unveiled a list of 28 players called up to play the next African Cup of Nations, scheduled for January 9 to February 6, 2022 in Cameroon.

All the Nigerian executives are there, including Victor Osimhen.

The Marc-Vivien Foé 2020 Prize

recently signaled that he would be ready for the Cameroonian appointment.

He will be accompanied by the other stars of the selection, Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze or William Troost-Ekong.

Forwards Samuel Kalu (Bordeaux) and Terem Moffi (Lorient), poorly performing this season, were not selected.

The Super Eagles, third in CAN 2019, will face Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau in Group D.
