The pop artist has been fighting for several months to be free from his father's guardianship.

"We are pleased but not necessarily surprised that Mr Spears and his lawyer finally realize he has to leave," Britney Spears' lawyer Mathew Rosengart wrote in a statement to TMZ.

"We look forward to continuing our in-depth investigation into Mr Spears 'and others' actions over the past 13 years, as he seized several million dollars from his daughter's property," the statement said.
