On June 9th, the reporter learned from the Provincial Headquarters for the Safety and Precaution of Asian Elephant Groups Migrating Northward in Yunnan Province. As of 17:00 of the same day, the northern elephant groups had migrated 3.7 kilometers to the southwest and continued their activities in Shijie Township, Yimen County, Yuxi City.
The single elephant was out of the group for 4 days. It entered Kunming's tranquility at 18:30 on June 8 and moved in the dense forest southwest of the Eight Street Street, about 12 kilometers away from the elephant group, and the elephants were safe.
The on-site headquarters closely monitored the movement of the elephant herd, studied and judged the migration route, and continued to guide the migration to the southwest by implementing measures such as isolation fences, feeding elephants, and road control.
