The prefect of Moselle, Laurent Touvet, announced this Saturday that schools remained open in this department hard hit by the Covid-19 epidemic, which will also not be the subject of a local containment measure for the 'instant, the current measures appearing "to date sufficient".

"There is no general closure of schools" or local "confinement", contrary to what several local elected officials demanded, said Laurent Touvet.

The measures to combat the spread of the virus "so far appear sufficient", added the prefect of this department, which has a higher incidence than the rest of the territory, in particular with a progression of the South African variant.
