  • Tarik, 21, successfully passed the blind auditions on the episode of

    The Voice which

    aired Saturday.

  • He is the first candidate to have tried his luck with a slam.

  • At the request of the coaches, he then gave a demonstration on a personal composition evoking the theme of abortion.

    A text that upset Vianney.

He made Vianney cry.

After having successfully passed his blind audition on Saturday in

The Voice

, by taking up a slam of Grand Corps Malade,

Chemins de traverse

, Tarik has, at the request of the coaches, played one of his compositions.

In this text, the 21-year-old candidate from Deuil-la-Barre (Val-d'Oise), slips into the skin of a woman forced to resort to a voluntary termination of pregnancy ... For

20 minutes

, he returns to this passage in the telecrochet of TF1.

Introducing yourself to "The Voice" by slamming, so without singing, it was risky, right?

It's a risk to take, which has already been taken… Not really with slam, more with rap, but the two are closely linked.

What is interesting with urban poetry is that we can highlight its interpretation.

When you slam, you also have to highlight your voice.

I don't think that's incompatible with participating in

The Voice

.

I know every season there is a bit of rap on the show.

This year, I'm one of those who represent the city, so it's really an honor, I'm making the most of it.

After your visit, you gave to hear one of your compositions.

Vianney was upset ...

I was not expecting it at all.

Vianney is still a renowned author, composer and performer so, of course, I was very honored, moved and proud to see the way he reacted.

I write for that, to convey emotions.

Why did you choose to mention the voluntary termination of pregnancy?

It is one of the first texts that I wrote and I do not know why, it came to me immediately when I do not necessarily know someone who has had an abortion.

I wanted to deal with important and topical themes.

I know that abortion is a pretty difficult subject, I wanted to talk about it… My intention, through this song, was just to put myself in the shoes of this lady forced to abort.

Do you write a lot?

I think I still have a lot to learn.

I wrote mostly in the evenings after class, I listened to small instruments, mostly on the piano, I determined a theme I wanted to tackle and I started to write.

The few texts that I wrote, I did not really go over it.

I had the chance to do an open scene right after writing my first lyrics.

I also played them to my relatives to get their feedback.

I don't have the infused science at all.

You are a physiotherapist student.

Do you intend to complete your studies, does it tickle you to stop and devote yourself to music or do you want to pursue both in parallel?

Very good question (laughs)!

If there's one of the two that gets bigger, let's hope it's the music.

I would like to devote myself to music but I know that there are mum and dad behind who encourage me to continue my studies.

Even I want to finish my course because it fascinates me.

But the goal is to combine the two.

For the rest of the adventure, are you ready to sing?

I took a few singing lessons when I first started music so I wouldn't mind.

I know I can do it.

However, my main asset is not my singing voice, it is clear that I could not claim to sing as well as other talents (laughs).

My strength is still my slam and my rap.
