According to the Jilin Provincial Meteorological Observatory, there will still be blizzards or heavy snowfalls in the northern part of the province in the future.

  The Information Office of the People's Government of Jilin Province held a press conference on the evening of the 19th to report the disaster.

  As of 14:00 on the 19th, 110 66-kV lines, 719 10-kV lines and more than 26,300 stations in Jilin Province were out of service, resulting in a power outage of 1,024,400 households.

  At present, highways in Jilin Province are fully closed, and most passenger and tourist chartered buses are suspended. Domestic railway transportation has been suspended for 201 trains and 18 trains have been changed. Changchun Airport is still closed, but ordinary national and provincial trunk lines The road is not closed to traffic.

  Due to the damage to the transmission lines, the communication service base station was interrupted 9703 times due to local power failures in many places in Jilin Province, which has a certain degree of impact on mobile phone calls and Internet access in some areas.

  At present, the water supply, gas supply and heat supply guarantee in most cities in Jilin Province are basically normal.

However, due to the failure of the power supply system in the provincial capital of Changchun, the Shitokoumen Pumping Station, an important water source, stopped supplying raw water to some water plants. The water pressure in the urban area has dropped significantly, and water has been cut off in some urban areas. Affected by power outages and water cuts, there are already 127.18 million square meters. Meter heating area cannot be heated normally.

  Although extreme weather is coming fiercely, Jilin officials are responding in an orderly manner.

At present, various departments of Jilin Province have dispatched thousands of people and invested a large amount of machinery and equipment to repair transmission lines and communication base stations; all parts of the province have also mobilized a large amount of manpower and material resources to remove ice and snow.

  At the same time, a team of experts appointed by China's State Grid has arrived in Jilin. They have dealt with the 2008 China’s rain, snow and freezing disaster; China Railway Shenyang Bureau arranged 125 electric locomotives and EMU deicing vehicles to go to Jilin Province for deicing operations.

  As of press time, after all-out rush repairs, Jilin Province has restored power to 423,900 households, re-operated 6,169 communication service base stations, and the Shitokoumen pumping station has also restored power, which has solved the water supply for most residents in Changchun.
