The police are mobilized in Côtes-d'Armor to enforce confinement.

Last week, they carried out numerous checks in the department, targeting in particular shopping centers and train stations as well as frequented places such as city centers, parks, ports or markets.

In total, the police and gendarmes carried out 24,768 checks between November 2 and 8, said the Côtes-d'Armor prefecture in a press release.

This resulted in 392 reports of violation of health rules.

An incidence rate that continues to climb

The controls will continue and even intensify in the coming days.

The Prefect of Côtes-d'Armor Thierry Mosimann thus mobilized the fraud, competition and consumer law enforcement services to control large and medium-sized stores.

“The health situation is deteriorating, justifies the prefect.

In order to reduce the epidemic, it is more necessary than ever to respect confinement ”.

According to the latest report from the Regional Health Agency, 649 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed since November 6 in Côtes-d'Armor where the incidence rate now stands at 210.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, a figure up 8.2 cases.
