The launch of the "Al Sharq" news channel comes as the latest addition to the media scene in Dubai, whose vibrant community includes nearly 3,000 companies and institutions, covering all fields of visual, audio, print, as well as electronic media, and about 122 television and radio channels broadcasting in various languages.
