The first positive case was detected in a professional intervening with residents from August 28.

The management, in partnership with the health authorities, then organized a general screening within the nursing home which accommodates 80 seniors and has 48 employees.

But before the results which detected 16 positive cases, 28 residents became symptomatic.

“The establishment has made the choice to keep residents within the structure, in an environment that is familiar to them.

Also, a strict sectorization was implemented by the coordinating doctor with the creation of Covid units, isolated from the rest of the establishment to protect the other residents ”, specifies the ARS.

Call for solidarity

New test campaigns are organized every week and the ARS ensures that everything is in place to help care for patients, in particular via the home hospitalization teams who regularly visit the establishment.

The health reserve was mobilized to cope with the staff shortage, affected by the Covid-19, while a call for volunteers via training schools and the regional Union of nursing professionals was launched.
