Amid concerns about the simultaneous epidemic of the new coronavirus and influenza, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has provided private-sector workers' accident compensation insurance, etc. We have decided to subsidize some of the insurance premiums if you join.

Since the symptoms of influenza, which is prevalent from autumn to winter every year, are similar to those of the new coronavirus, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare plans to establish a system that can handle both tests at clinics nationwide by the end of next month.

However, according to the Japan Medical Association, clinics are worried that "if a doctor or other person is infected with the new coronavirus from a patient who visits the examination, he or she will not be able to continue medical treatment."

For this reason, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to subsidize part of the insurance premiums when clinics that cooperate with inspections take out private industrial accident insurance that covers leave compensation.

In addition, in order to support regional medical care, we will subsidize part of the cost of introducing infection control to medical institutions that support pediatric and emergency medical care.

In both cases, the policy is to use the reserve fund of this year's budget, which is included in the measures against the new coronavirus, as financial resources.
