The publishing group introduced short-term layoffs for about 60 employees in mid-April this year when they feared that the economy would be negatively affected by the corona pandemic.

They stopped short-term work on May 31, a month earlier than planned, when it turned out that sales went better than expected.

Bonnierfölagen has now decided to repay the state support they received for the redundancy solution.

- At the end of the spring and during the summer, we had a really good sale, which makes the result look much better.

Then we think it feels right to pay back the state support, says Sara Börsvik, CEO of Bonnierförlagen, to Svensk Bokandel.

Sara Börsvik does not want to give any figure on how well things have gone for Bonnierförlagen compared to last year, writes Svensk Bokhandel.
