On August 20, the "Yangtze River 2020 No. 5 Flood" passed through Yichang City, Hubei Province. Many local citizens came to the riverside to check water conditions. Affected by the recent heavy rainfall, a total of 62 rivers including the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Minjiang, Tuojiang, and Jialing Rivers have experienced over-alarm floods. The inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose to 75,000 cubic meters per second on the same day. This is the Three Gorges Project since the construction of the reservoir in 2003 The biggest peak ever encountered.
