"A flowering first May". It is with this note of humor that the gendarmes of the company of Châteauneuf-du-Faou, in Finistère, evoked their amazing discovery. While they are checking on a man driving without a license, intoxicated and under the influence of drugs, the Quimper police discover in the car equipment suggesting that the driver is selling cannabis. Early the next morning, it is their fellow gendarmes who conduct a search of the young man's home, who lives with his parents in Pleyben, between Brest and Carhaix. And discover an important culture of cannabis.

In the basement of the house, about 200 feet grow quietly with artificial lighting and heat lamps. To avoid an overly salty bill, the occupants of the house took care to block the EDF meter. The father and his son have been growing grass, with the mother's help, for about three years. The youngest is responsible for selling the goods.

Established for a year in Pleyben, the small family business had previously worked in Quimper for two years. While in police custody, the three individuals estimated that they produced approximately 16 kg per year, for an estimated total income of 60,000 euros. As the defendants are major under protection, expert opinions will be necessary and judicial decisions will be taken later. The couple will also be prosecuted in the context of another case for breach of trust and fraud for an amount of 37,000 euros, specify the gendarmes. All the feet and the equipment were destroyed.
