The exhilaration of speed on deserted beaches was too tempting. Friday morning, the gendarmes of Gironde surprised five young people who were engaged, in full confinement, in a quad and motorcycle trip on the beaches of the coast, reports the daily South West . The "pilots", originally from the Arcachon Bay, did not shine by their discretion. Their trip lasted from 2h to 5h in the morning. They have been spotted and heard on several beaches, from Lacanau to Pointe du Bassin.

When the gendarmes ended the festivities, none of the young people was of course able to produce a certificate of derogatory displacement which, in any case, would not have matched the circumstances. They were all fined for breaching confinement.
