A deer has offered a ride in the streets of Angoulême in full confinement, an image captured by Margot, a student. - Margot Txr Facebook

It was little clicking on the cobblestones of rue René-Goscinny, in the heart of downtown Angoulême, that alerted him. It was a little past 3 a.m., on the night of Saturday to Sunday, when Margot, a Charente student, discovered under her window a somewhat incongruous nocturnal walker.

While the city is confined, what looks like a young deer has decided to take a stroll, without being bothered by the usual partygoers of the weekend. Images shared on the Facebook group "Angoul'Aime" and which did not fail to make users react.

When nature takes back its rights

We see the cervid moving slowly, far from being frightened, almost disconcerted not to meet a living soul, even the car that passed at the end of the street did not make it run away. After advancing a few meters, it turned around the corner under construction.

About ten days ago, a deer had already been seen by an Angoumoisin on the top floor of the station's silo parking lot. "It is a good sign to see that our undergrowth and bits of greenery are still home to wild animals despite urban development", notes Margot, contacted by 20 Minutes . Nature takes back its rights.
