After the ban on access to the beaches of the coast, the prefect of Loire-Atlantique tightens its measures. On the fourth day of confinement, this Friday, Claude d'Harcourt announced that he had adopted a decree, in force from Saturday morning at 8 a.m. (and until March 31), notably prohibiting access to the banks of the Erdre and Loire.

“It is absolutely necessary to reduce the walks, indicates this Friday evening the prefect of Pays-de-la-Loire. Outings that could be tempting with the mild weather forecast for this weekend. According to the town hall, regroupings have been reported in recent hours, especially on the banks of the Erdre, despite the strict confinement measures.

Lakes, forests, gardens, or prohibited playgrounds

This decision is part of a broader prohibition order since it also concerns forests, rivers, lakes, bodies of water, banks, but also parks and gardens (closed or not), outdoor sports facilities air and playgrounds, throughout the Loire-Atlantique department. The same decree should be signed in the other departments of the Pays-de-la-Loire region. The prefect reminds that this prohibition is valid even within the framework of a jogging, or an exit with his dog.

It must be said that the tickets have skyrocketed in the past 24 hours in Loire-Atlantique. This Friday, more than 500 fines were distributed (against 300 Thursday), while 3,500 vehicles and 5,000 pedestrians were checked. Over 700 police and gendarmerie officials were mobilized. "We have entered the active verbalization phase," says the prefect.
