For six seasons, Hélène Darroze has been the jury for "Top Chef" on M6. She explains to Frédéric Taddeï why this program continues to please viewers by promoting "good food" while showing "the reality of a kitchen".

"We are in the reality of a kitchen and a competition." Jury for Top Chef on M6 since 2015, Hélène Darroze is full of praise for the program, which she says continues to please because it shows the heart of the chef's profession. "People like the challenges that are launched" she enthuses at the microphone of Frédéric Taddeï, on Europe 1. "People in France like to eat well, to cook. More and more, we are concerned by good food, with the right products and I think Top Chef sends the right messages at this level, so that calls out. "

The success of former candidates

The other asset of the show is the success of its former candidates. Stéphanie Le Quellec, who now has two Michelin stars "won Top Chef in the very first editions", underlines Hélène Darroze. "I was not yet a member of the jury, but there are lots of young candidates who today have establishments recognized by guides, by the public too, and that's great."

The chef also insists on the good atmosphere within the program. "We are a very sympathetic team, and then the candidates are more and more qualitative and always very sympathetic." Top Chef is also two months when the jury eats more than usual. "We drop all the time, we work long hours during the day, it's nonsense for two months. Stéphane Rotenberg always takes 3-4 kilos at the end of a Top Chef season. I think this year that was the case for me too. "
