"Any triggering of an artist's tour triggers employment, activity, spinoffs. If there are no tours, there is therefore less employment, fewer overnight stays. hotel, less food, less everything ", she explains on Europe 1.

40% drop in ticket sales in three days

On the first three days of the week, professionals noted a drop in ticket sales for concerts and shows by 40%. Beyond cancellations, the public buys them for two reasons: the fear of being in a confined space with hundreds of other people and that of buying a ticket for a concert that could be canceled.

In France, 90 rooms can hold more than 5,000 spectators, including many at the Zenith or the Paris AccorHotels Arena, which has 20,000 seats. This room was also to host around twenty often full concerts until May 31, like that of rapper Roméo Elvis on March 26. Also planned were concerts by Dua Lipa, Maluma, Andrea Bocelli, Les Cowboy Fringants ... All canceled or postponed.

Gims and Ninho postpone their tour

In Lille, Paul McCartney is expected at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium on May 23. He must then go to La Défense Arena, the largest hall in Europe, in Nanterre on the 26th. For the moment, production has not spoken of a postponement. The singer Gims or the rapper Ninho have postponed their tour by a few months.

Festivals are now the main concern. The cancellation of Rock The Pistes, scheduled for March 15-22, was announced on Thursday. The Tomorrowland Winter electronic music festival is too. 200,000 festival-goers were to take part in Alpe d'Huez from March 14. The Printemps de Bourges, scheduled for mid-April, will normally take place, but the organization is considering parades if necessary.

Finally, some concert halls are starting to limit the sale of their tickets so as not to reach 5,000 tickets.
