The London Book Fair would have taken place between 10 and 12 March. Organizer Reed Exhibitions writes on Twitter that the fair is canceled because of the "escalation of the COVID-19 corona virus in Europe".

Several publishers announced earlier this week that they will not attend the fair because of the risk of infection spreading. Including several American publishers such as Hachette, HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster. Swedish Bonnier Publishers and Norstedts also withdrew this week.

Also, Amazon's publisher canceled its participation before the announcement came that the fair would not go away.
