They will remember the passage of storm Leon. A little before noon, a mini-tornado formed in the south of the Gironde department, and took with it several dozen roofs near Gironde-sur-Dropt, near La Réole, reports France 3.

The tornado would have damaged a total of a hundred homes along a corridor of almost 3 km. Trees have been uprooted, and chimneys have collapsed or threaten to fall.

The episode only lasted a few minutes but was very intense. Tonight, residents can only see the damage, and secure damaged homes. The RD 113 was also cut off from traffic.
