Disney + relies on the catalogs of Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel. - DISNEY

Disney +, the streaming service of the American company, is eagerly awaited by some fans. In the United States alone, 10 million people signed up for the platform when it launched in mid-November. Faced with this phenomenon, criminals are currently trying to scam French Internet users, reports LCI.

On the social networks, an attractive offer proposes to become a beta-tester of the service before its arrival in the country, next March 31. It is actually a false advertisement aimed at extracting money from those who register.

A monthly debit of 75 euros

When a user clicks on the link proposing to become a beta-tester on social networks, he is immediately sent to a site containing the Disney graphic charter. A text containing translation errors and spelling errors explains that it is necessary to pay two euros to get a preview of Disney + "because of the French law" which would not authorize the offer of "services free, ”reports LCI. Obviously, it is not.

The internet user is finally invited to pay one euro in order to register for a draw which would allow free access to Disney +. At the end of a three-day trial period, a direct debit of 75 euros is made from his bank account, while the service costs only around 6 euros in the United States. It is therefore advisable to wait until the official launch of the platform in France in a few months to avoid this type of coarse scam.
