Well, the year is coming to an end. Some are summing up positive results, others are whining that, in fact, everything was bad, but they are not doing anything to make it somehow different. From year to year the same thing.
For me, the past 2019 will be once again remembered, among other things, by the inability to agree on anything with the liberal public.
In the elections to the Moscow City Duma, in fact, the first and only such large case, when the supposedly independent opposition had a chance to prove their effectiveness and show their worth, go to the government agency, Navalny’s team chose the tactics of bullying, intimidation and bribery. Nothing new, but for a moment it seemed that in the post-truth era they could finally have acted differently.
Harassed Nyuta Federmesser, teamed up with the Communists, called to vote not as I want and my heart lies, but as the Führer said, more than once arranged a circus at meetings in the Moscow City Duma ... And in the end, all this led only to self-destruction, public zeroing.
Any normal person who is far from politics or an active voter is more likely to be afraid of such behavior by the opposition. Yes, and there is no strategy here, cooperation and toadness between the flanks eventually led to the expulsion of the same Shuvalova from the party, her aunt began to play, went to the wrong steppe. Did she know that this could happen? Surely. But she relied on fashionable instead of stable. The shameful Engalycheva will be remembered for her quarrelsomeness and scandalousness at the level of the bazaar’s grandmother, as well as for the defiant vidkom in her terribly canary-transparent dress.
Employees of the Anti-Corruption Fund will be remembered for their endless trips abroad, laundering dough from bitcoin wallets and parties, while they plant young men who are participants in uncoordinated rallies.
What the opposition does not understand yet is that while the little dogs bark and knock themselves out under the sun and getting into the news agenda, people are doing things. You are either about the essence, or about the picture. What did the opposition achieve last year? What has changed in the camp? What specifically began to work better because of their actions?
All opposition activity is the refinement of the agenda and order. No, please, PR has the right to be. But if this is a tool to achieve the goal - this is one thing, and when dusting in the eyes is the goal, then, excuse me, but bue.
I want everything to be different in the new year. For example, Lyuba Sobol will leave Navalny for free swimming and, by the way, I’m sure that in this case she will achieve much more. Leonid Volkov, as well as another half of the Anti-Corruption Fund, will receive their cherished foreign citizenship and will never return here again. Ilya Yashin will marry, become an exemplary family man, maybe even change his mind, start writing books, engage in human rights activities ... Nikolai Lyaskin will also come out of Navalny’s shadow, will become that very constructive alternative. In general, everything with everyone will be good and harmless.
But we are still here in the present. And instead of dreams, I choose the tactics of setting goals, the tactics of accepting reality. And in her, my dear, the opposition is stupid shit, and you need to have the courage and strength to constantly voice it.
