According to reports, dust is one of the main sources of air pollution in Beijing. According to the analysis of PM2.5 components in April and May of the past three years, the contribution of dust to PM2.5 is close to 30%. Dust pollution seriously affects the cleanliness of the city. The degree and effectiveness of governance are directly related to the happiness and sense of gain of blue sky citizens in the capital.
The Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau stated that in response to the characteristics of seasonal pollution, from March to May this year, Beijing launched a 100-day special campaign to control dust to comprehensively strengthen the prevention and control of dust pollution and effectively solve the environmental problems around people.
In order to strengthen the implementation of responsibilities and the implementation of measures, 7 departments of Beijing's ecological environment, housing construction, urban management, transportation, water affairs, landscaping, and urban management and law enforcement have formed a joint supervision team and go to relevant districts every week to carry out joint supervision and inspections. Pay attention to the dust raised by bare land, strengthen grid inspections, adopt ecological coverage, hardening and other prevention and control measures according to local conditions, and promote the removal of nets to see green. In response to external sand and dust, roofs and roads should be cleaned and cleaned after the dust passes to prevent secondary dust pollution; during the strong wind warning period, earthwork operations, demolition operations and other construction operations that may produce dust pollution should be stopped in accordance with the law.
