It is alarming that the same party that supported the application of article 155 in 2017, which defended the existence of a rebellion by the independence movement to undermine the constitutional framework in Catalonia and that, already from the Government, ordered to deploy the diplomatic machinery to counteract the Separatist propaganda, now decide to tilt the cervix before the same ones who perpetrated the 1-O assault . Pedro Sánchez's desire to retain power, at whatever price, not only liquidates the PSOE's reputation as a systemic political force, but also erodes the State's position to face the secessionist challenge.

Sanchez's dependence on independence, once he decided to embrace the populism of Pablo Iglesias, calls on Spain to swing the next government of the nation over those whose priority is precisely to violate national sovereignty . This capitalized irresponsibility is already having serious consequences, as has been proven in the wake of the ruling of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) that recognizes the automatic immunity of Oriol Junqueras since his election as MEP. The head of the Spanish socialists in Strasbourg, Iratxe García, along with Esteban González Pons (PP) and Luis Garicano (Cs), tried to curb the recognition of provisional accreditation as European parliamentarians to Puigdemont and Comín, escaped from the Spanish Justice. As we reveal today, from the cabinet of the president of the European Parliament, the socialist David Sassoli, justified this decision in the following way: "We can no longer treat as if they were criminals who are negotiating their Government . " It is obvious that the negotiation opened by Sánchez with the independence movement, including the reestablishment of the institutional dialogue with the Generalitat, has ruined the position maintained by the Kingdom of Spain since Felipe VI asked the powers of the State to restore the constitutional order. With what authority will the Spanish diplomats defend our rule of law if Sanchez becomes allies to the executors of the 1-O coup?

Junqueras, with a message from jail, took advantage of his party's Congress yesterday to defend self-determination. ERC remains open to facilitate the investiture of Sánchez, although after the ruling of the Luxembourg court has raised the price of its seats. Esquerra demands a gesture from the State Advocacy regarding the procedural situation of Junqueras to unlock the formation of Government. If it is already unworthy to flatten the future of Spain by the hand of separatists, it is even more so to do it in a context of inadmissible blackmail . The rush of La Moncloa, together with the tactical opportunism of ERC, can lead to an investiture on the eve of Kings. If materialized, it will mean the final capitulation of the PSOE as a fence of national unity.
