Channel One responded to Svetlakov’s words about the Searchlight Perishilton

According to the press service, the project was closed in 2012 in connection with Svetlakov’s contract with another channel.

On Channel One, they added that the terms of this contract “gave him (Svetlakova. - RT) the bosses the opportunity to ban his participation in the Spotlight.”

“This is too famous a story for 7 years later to invent its new version and, depicting Herzen, to sell tickets for the concert,” the press service said.

Earlier, in an interview with RBC, Svetlakov said that “ProjectorParisHilton”, which aired on Channel One from 2008 to 2012, was closed because “the format prevented us and we did not want to look like idiots.”
