Far from appeasing his virulent reaction to the Supreme Court ruling, independence returned yesterday to the street to activate the only resource he has left: social pressure. This explains the roadblocks and protests in Barcelona and the rest of the main cities of Catalonia. The objective of independence is to overwhelm the State through the destabilization of the social order . And for this he does not hesitate to rely on sabotages such as those perpetrated by Tsunami Democràtic , responsible for the collapse of El Prat. Faced with this, the Government must mobilize all the legal remedies at its disposal to curb the insurrection of the Catalan authorities, which have not mitigated their challenge after the Supreme Court ruling.

It is cynical that Torra sweeps the masses into disobedience while sending the Mossos to suppress the altercations promoted by sovereignty. But this behavior is no longer surprising, between irresponsible and hypocritical, by someone who yesterday reiterated his threats to the State: "We will do it again," he said in reference to the institutional coup of 2017. All this in an extraordinarily serious context and worrisome , materialized both in the terrorist drift of the CDRs and in the violent escalation of entities that are still present with the ruse of peacemakers. Given these facts, the Government must operate firmly. The communication effort of La Moncloa, especially active through social networks and the diplomatic corps, is commendable. And it contrasts with the institutional void abroad that the Generalitat propaganda finds, despite the unpresentable obstacles that Belgian Justice still poses in relation to the Euroorder against Puigdemont. In any case, a determined action by the Executive is urgently required to evaluate, together with the PP and Cs, the application of article 155 to ensure the control of the Government, including prison powers. It is the response demanded by the social fracture generated by independence and the growing economic destruction. In this sense, the tourism management recalled that Catalonia lost 319 million tourism revenues after 1-O.

It is clear that the judgment of the Chamber presided over by Judge Marchena has not satisfied anyone. Hence the mixture of indignation and disappointment in the Prosecutor's Office. This newspaper has expressed its disagreement with the scope of the sentence, to the extent that the process was not a decoy to force the State, but a real attempt to subvert the constitutional order. The reference to separatist "reverie" will haunt the TS for a long time . It is clear, however, that the rule of law has at its disposal instruments to defend itself. Now it's up to the Executive and the Legislative to do their job. Sánchez is obliged to guarantee public order and coexistence in Catalonia.
