The Ministry of Higher Education has unveiled, on Friday, November 23, the calendar of the platform for access to higher education. Some adjustments including a main procedure that will end much earlier: end of July, against September 5 last year.

Despised last year, Parcoursup, the admission platform in higher education will live its second year with a lot of adjustments. This Friday, November 23, the Ministry of Higher Education unveiled the new calendar.

The main change concerns the main amission phase. It will end at the end of July and not on September 5th, like last year. The complementary phase will open at the end of June and continue until mid-September. This should delight families as the waiting time will be significantly reduced. Here are the dates to remember.

December 20th

Opening of Parcoursup's information site. It will then be possible to consult the training offers, the progress of the procedure, the criteria for examining the files ...

January 22 to March 14

It's time to register on the Parcoursup platform and create your file. It is also the moment to make one's wishes, up to ten possible, without classifying them. The return of a ranking had been swept by Minister Frédérique Vidal. Thursday, March 14, is the last day to make his wishes.

March

Each vow formulated is referred to the high school class council and is the subject of a future form sent to the desired higher education institutions, including the assessments of the teachers and the opinion of the school head.

April 3

Last day to finalize his file with all the elements requested by the formations and also last day to confirm each of his wishes.

Mid-May to the end of July

Time to consult the training responses on the platform. Admission proposals are made on an ongoing basis. The response time will be indicated accordingly. When a proposal is accepted, the others cancel each other out. But there is the possibility of keeping his vows "pending" until the end of the main proceedings. A procedure that will be suspended during the baccalaureate exams from June 17th to 24th. Three types of answers can be made: yes, yes-if (that is, provided they follow an accompanying path) or waiting. Registration in the chosen course must be confirmed before the end of July.

May to September

Support is offered for students who have not received a proposal. An appointment can also be requested from the teams of its rectorate or high school with the commission of access to higher education (CAES).

End of June to mid-September

The complementary phase will be open and will allow students still looking for a training to make new wishes and to obtain one or more proposals in courses that still have places available.
